Jilly Jaksich comes to Mizzou from Papillion, Neb, where she played in three State Championship games for Papillion-LaVista High School, winning the state title in her sophomore and junior seasons. Jaksich was named an All-Metro Honorable Mention selection in 2002 and 2003. Along with lettering in volleyball, she received letters in track and tennis and earned an academic letter. Jaksich was a member of the National Honor Society, was named an Omaha World-Herald Outstanding Scholar and graduated last spring with high distinction.

Q: What are your hobbies?
A: I like to ski. Water ski, jet ski, snow ski... I like them all!

Q: What is the best piece of advice you ever received?
A: Never settle for anything less than your best, but be satisfied with what you can do.

Q: What is your favorite thing about Mizzou Volleyball?
A: I really like the girls. They are the highlight of my day. The fact that they do our laundry is nice too! Just kidding!

Q: What is one thing that your teammates probably don't know about you?
A: One of my ears is slightly higher than the other.

Q: What CD is in your CD player right now?
A: NOW 16.

Q: If you won a $1 million shopping spree, what would you buy?
A: A fast car, some jet skis, a lot of clothes, shoes and some cool new bike gear for my dad.

Q: Describe yourself in one word.
A: Original.

Q: Who is the funniest person on the team?
A: Jenny Duitsman... definitely Duits.

Q: What has been your most thrilling sports moment?
A: Winning the State Championship in 2002.
