Q&A with Casey Dreyfus

Sept. 14, 2004

Q: What's the biggest change form playing high school soccer to collegiate soccer?

A: "The level of play is the biggest change. College soccer is much more physical and faster than high school soccer. In college you're surrounded by great players and in high school you're not."

Q: What does coach Blitz expect from you this season?

A: "He expects me to do more as a player and to get as much experience as possible at the collegiate level."

Q: What's the hardest thing about being a student-athlete?

A: "I would have to say balancing your time between soccer, school, friends and everything else that goes on in college."

Q: What are some goals that you've set for yourself this season?

A: "My goal is to improve as a player and to prove myself to the coaching staff in order to get playing time."

Q: What's the best part about training with such an established group of upperclassmen?

A: "The upperclassmen are all so encouraging. They really help us to become better players and people."
