June 3, 2004

The USA A2 Training Team, which features Missouri volleyball setter Lindsey Hunter, won the 2004 USA Open Volleyball Championships in Atlanta, Ga. earlier this week. Hunter was the team's starting setter and was selected to the All-Tournament Team.

The USA A2 Team was a perfect 4-0 in the tournament. It was forced to five games in one match, but the other three victories were three-game sweeps.

The team is primarily selected by invitation based on past performances in USA Volleyball programs such as the A2 team, Pan American Games team and Junior National Team. The setters were selected through an invitational weekend tryout at the United States Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. April 9-10.
