Mizzou designated hitter Lee Laskowski and right-handed pitcher Garrett Broshuis have been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association Rawlings All-Midwest Region Team. Both Laskowski and Broshuis were All-Big 12 First Team selections this year for the Tigers.
Laskowski hit .355 last season with eight home runs and 45 RBI. He hit .381 in Big 12 Conference games, which was third best in the conference. In the four games played at the Big 12 Conference Tournament, Laskowski hit .400, scored eight runs, drove in five and was named to the All-Tournament team.
Broshuis has also been named a third-team All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and a second team All-American by CollegeBaseballInsider.com. He became the third pitcher in MU history to record 11 wins in a season, by going 11-0 with a 2.61 ERA last season. Broshuis was also named to the All-Tournament Team at the Big 12 Tournament and was an Academic All-American.
