June 2, 2004

The world's leading shot putter and Tiger post-collegian Christian Cantwell will be interviewed Thursday morning on Kansas City's 810 WHB. Cantwell will appear on "Crunch Time" with George Brett and Frank Bowl, and will be on-air sometime between 9am and noon. Cantwell ranks No. 1 in the world in the shot after gaining titles at the 2004 IAAF World Indoor Championship in Budapest and at the USA Track & Field Nationals in Boston. Cantwell's throw of 73 feet, 4 inches, May 23rd, at the Home Depot Invitational in Carson, Calif., ranks as the world's best for the year.

Cantwell is tenth all-time on the world's performers list and is in the top five in America. While at Missouri, Cantwell was a seven-time all-American and a six-time Big 12 Champion.

This weekend, Cantwell will travel to Gresham, Ore., for the adidas Track Classic. The competition will be held on Saturday. ESPN2 will air live coverage from 5-6pm.
