Tigers Attempt To Reach Post-Season Marks At Billy Hayes Classic

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - A week removed from the Big 12 Championships the University of Missouri track and field squad sends around 20 student-athletes to Indiana's Billy Hayes Classic on Friday. With competition that will include many members of the Big Ten Conference, the Tigers will attempt to expand upon or earn new qualifying marks for late May's NCAA Regionals.

Indiana will host the meet which should begin around 4:00 p.m., Friday and last until about 8:30 p.m.

At the Big 12 Championships, senior Holly Scherder won the conference crown in the women's hammer throw and sophomore Jessica Stockard won in the women's heptathlon. In total, 25 Tigers earned all-Big 12 honors. The lady Tigers finished fourth for the second year in a row. The men's team finished 11th.
