The road to the 2004 College World Series will continue for the Missouri Tigers, as they received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, as announced by the selection committee on Monday. Mizzou will be the No. 3 seed in its region and will face second-seeded Wichita State at 2 p.m. on Friday in Fayetteville, Ark.
The top seed and host for the region is Arkansas, who will face Le Moyne on Friday. Gametimes have yet to be determined.
The Tigers are 37-21-1 and are coming off the Big 12 Conference Tournament in which they advanced to the Championship game, before being defeated by Oklahoma State 10-9 in 13 innings.
Wichita State is 47-14 and won the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament by defeating Southern Illinois 5-1 in the championship game on Saturday.
Last year Mizzou advanced to the NCAA Tournament and was 1-2 at the Starkville (Miss.) Regional.
