Missouri junior right-handed pitcher Garrett Broshuis has been named to the Academic All-District VII Team, as voted on by the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Broshuis' name will now be forwarded on to the national ballot for consideration for Academic All-America.

A native of Advance, Mo., Broshuis is a psychology major at Missouri and holds a 3.92 cumulative grade-point average. He was named Academic All-District VII last year and has twice been named to the Academic All-Big 12 Conference team.

Broshuis is unbeaten on the season with a 7-0 record and has a 2.83 ERA. He is second on the team in strikeouts with 70 and was named the Big 12 Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week on May 4 after he shutout No. 1 Texas in 8.1 innings of work on May 1.

Mizzou will travel to Lawrence, Kan. this weekend for a three-game series that will get underway with game on at 6 p.m. on Friday.
