Columbia, Mo. - Missouri Head Softball Coach Ty Singleton announced Wednesday morning that Missouri Softball Camps will host two days of team camps during Superbowl weekend (Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, 2004). The all-day Superball I and II camps will be held in the Dan Devine Pavilion on the MU campus, and will be the first of several team camps offered throughout the year by the Tigers softball staff.

During the course of the camp, each team will play two full seven-inning indoor games, and in addition will attend clinical skill instruction sessions from the MU softball staff during the afternoon.

The camps are open to club teams (ages 16-up), but space is limited to four teams per day. Teams will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis upon submission of completed registration forms. Forms are now available by calling 573-882-3942 or 573-882-6840 or by faxing the MU softball office at 573-884-7577.

"We plan to host team camps throughout the year to share our coaching methods with interested players and coaches," Singleton said. "These camps will allow us to continue to build strong supportive relationships with Missouri youth softball teams."
