<b><big>Q & A with Hana Kraftova</b></big>

Q: Where did you grow up, and what was it like there?
A: I was born in Plzen, Czech Republic. I live in a village name Tymakov (about 700 inhabitants).

Q: When you're not practicing your game, how do you spend the remainder your time?
A: School and study takes a lot of my free time. But I like to hangout with my friends, watch movies, or cook for my roommates.

Q: Why did you choose to come to the University of Missouri?
A: Blake Starkey offered me a scholarship, and according my official visit last year I picked MU.

Q: What did you decide to major in, and what do you plan on doing after graduation?
A: I am in Hotel and Restaurant management major. One day I want to establish my own company.

Q: Who has been your biggest inspiration for all that you have accomplished, and why?
A: My family is a big motivation for me. I want to do my best to make them smile and be proud of me.

Q: Who is your favorite tennis player?
A: Steffi Graf

Q: How do you describe yourself, as a person, and as a part of the MU tennis team?
A: I have learned to be more independent since I got here. I can take care of my problems and myself. Being part of MU tennis team is an important role, and I like to be useful to the team.

Q: What is your most anticipated game for this season and why?
A: We want to beat our main rival - KU.

Q: What do you expect from yourself as a player in the 2003-2004 season, are there any improvements that you have been working on?
A: I would like to win more matches than I won last year. I think that I am getting stronger and more confident on the court.

Q: Can you give us some of your speculation of the upcoming season, including which player or players you feel will be most valuable to the team?
A: Our freshmen look really good; I think that they are good advice for us.
