Q: How do you think the Brazil trip prepared the team for this season?
A: The Brazil trip made us a lot closer. We developed chemistry and bonded as a team.
Q: What was the highlight for you?
A: Experiencing a completely different culture, it was outrageous.
Q: Against Texas your team came back from a 1- 4 deficit. What happened during the half time of that game that helped the team pull off the victory?
A:When we went into the locker room it was completely silent. Then someone said something and we all started talking. We decided if they could get four goals in the first half we could get four in the second. We just knew we had to do it. We wanted to do it for our seniors.
Q: Texas was ranked 4th in the nation. How did that effect the team's preparation?
A: I did not even know they were ranked 4th and undefeated. We just wanted to win.
Q: What are your expectations for the rest of the season?
A: That we play the rest of our games how we played against Texas the second half. We need to play ever game like that.
Q: How is this year's team different from last year's?
A: We have a mature team. We have 7 juniors and 4 seniors. We are playing at a higher level and everyone contributes. No one has a starting position locked up because everyone is good enough to start.
Q: What are your expectations for yourself?
A: My expectation depends on where I play. If I'm up top, I want to get goals and make stuff happen. If I'm in the midfield, I want to do my part defensively.
Q: What is the hardest part of being a college athlete?
A: Balancing your time between traveling and class.
