Fall World Series Begins on Friday

The University of Missouri baseball team concludes its 2003 fall practice with the Fall World Series which begins on Friday. Game one of the best of five series will start at 6 p.m. on at Taylor Stadium/Simmons Field. All games are open and free to the public.

Game two of the intersquad scrimmage is set for 2 p.m. on Sunday with games 3-5 being played on Monday-Wednesday at 6 p.m each night.

The team has been split into two teams, as drafted by the coaches of the respective teams. Roster for the teams are listed below. Each team will also have a former Tiger on the bench serving as an honorary coach. Jayce Tingler will be in the Black Team's dugout, while Justin James joins the White Team's staff.

The Tigers are coming off a trip to the NCAA Tournament last spring. They finished the year with a 36-22 record, including a 19-5 mark at home. Tim Jamieson, enters his 10th season as the Missouri head coach. Thirty-seven players are on the fall roster, which includes seven starters from last year's NCAA Tournament squad.
