Tiger Swimmers Prepare For National Championships

July 22, 2003

The Mizzou swim team will be represented at the U.S. National Championships in August by seniors Rebecca Wolfe and Andrea Nigh, and recent MU graduate Tiffany Bohon.

Rebecca Wolfe is a 200 fly Olympic trial qualifier and wants to be the first Missouri swimmer to score at Senior Nationals. Andrea Nigh will be competing in the 50 and 100 freestyle events and is training to become one of the elite swimmers in the country and to qualify for the Olympic Trials next summer. Tiffany Bohon will be competing in the 100 breaststroke. The National Championship meet may be the last meet for the all time best Columbia swimmer and her record breaking career.

Liz Schoborg and Matt North will also be attending the National Championships while representing their home club teams.

Missouri junior Mariona Costa will be looking to defend her national title and improve her chances of making the Olympic team in 2004 as she competes in the Spanish National Championships in August.
