Tiger Men's Golf Finishes 10th at Matlock Collegiate Invitational

Lakeland, Fla.. - The University of Missouri men's golf team finished play in the Matlock Collegiate Invitational in Lakeland, Fla., on Tuesday. Mizzou finished in the 10th spot with a three-round total of 880, just one stroke behind the ninth place team, Old Dominion, and only four strokes out of the top five. Mizzou was in ninth heading into the day.

Junior Brandon Knaub had the best round of his young season, firing a five-under par 67 en route to a three-round total of 215, good for a tie for 10th place. Knaub's 67 equaled the best round of both the day and the tournament after he shot an opening round of 76 and a second round of 72 yesterday. Junior David Jenkins struggled in his final round shooting a four-over par 76 and wrapped up the 26th spot after finishing Day 1 in a tie for 16th.

Freshman Chris Mabry followed up a pair of 75's on Monday with a personal tourney best of 72, finishing the day in tie for 31st place. Seniors Cory Ewert and Chris Happ wrapped up the Tigers' scoring, finishing in 52nd and 56th place respectively.
