Head coach Cindy Stein
On the game:
"It was a very frustrating game. I believe in our team. I believe we're a lot better than this. As a coaching staff, we have to work hard and find better ways to score. I think we played not to lose instead of playing to win, and we have to get a handle on that." On Missouri's offense:
"We didn't move well offensively in the first half. We got too flat on the baseline and allowed their zone to play us pretty straight up. Basically, it came down to having better control of our shots and working the boards better. We did some of those things, but it seems like ball's not bouncing our way right now."

Missouri junior center Melanie Fisher
On her play inside:
"I didn't get a lot of touches inside. The times I did get the ball, I usually passed off because I felt like other people had a better look than I did. I'm really working to get stronger in my post moves and be more aggressive."

Austin Peay head coach Susie Gardner
On the game:
"I didn't think there was any way we could match up with them man-to-man. They're just much bigger than we are. We really had to take a chance and play them in a zone. At first, they knocked down their first couple of shots, and I got a little worried, and I had to figure out what we were going to do from there. Our biggest problem was Evan Unrau and her 11 offensive rebounds. We had to find a way to keep her from doing that, but in the end our philosophy worked."

Austin Peay guard Brooke Armistead
On the second half:
"I think in the second half, we concentrated on hitting our shots and our free throws, which became very important. Late in the game, we concentrated on holding the lead. We lost a little bit of it as they started to come back, but then we regained our ground."
