LINCOLN, Neb. -

Both men's and women's swimming and diving teams will open the 2002-03 season in Lincoln, Nebraska at the Big 12 Relay Meet on Friday. On Saturday the men's team will compete against Texas A&M in a dual meet and the women will face Texas A&M and host Nebraska in a tri-meet. All the meets will be held at the Devaney Sports Center Pool in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The starting time for the Relay Meet is 9 a.m. and will consists of relay events only. The diving events will be scored based on the four best scores of each team. Last year Missouri hosted the Big 12 Relays at the University Natatorium. The women finished second and the men finished third in last years meet.

On Saturday the start time of the dual and tri-meet is 9 a.m. The men will take on defending NCAA Champion Texas A&M. The women take on two of the tougher teams in the Big 12. Nebraska only returns 5 letterwinners and has added 16 newcomers to its squad. Texas A&M returns a veteran squad as well as adding some top incoming freshmen.
