COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Baylor Lady Bears used a 27-9 run to close the final eight minutes and 27 seconds of the first half Saturday night to defeat the University of Missouri women's basketball team, 80-59, at the Hearnes Center.
Missouri held a 24-22 lead after a basket by Kerensa Barr before the Bears began their run. Sheila Lambert, who finished with a game-high 27 points, scored 11 of her points during Baylor's run to close the first half. The win also snapped Missouri's two-game win streak at home against nationally ranked foes as the Bears entered the game ranked 13th by The Associated Press and 11th in the USA Today/ESPN/WBCA Coaches' Poll.
