Columbia, Mo.-University of Missouri football fans will have their first opportunity to check out the 2002 Missouri Tiger football squad this Saturday as the Missouri Athletic Department hosts the "Mizzou Preview" at Faurot Field. Tiger fans will also be able to choose the seats they will be viewing the action from this fall as season tickets will be available throughout the event.
Gates will open at 9 a.m. and fans will be able to pick out their desired seats from a variety of spots around Memorial Stadium for the upcoming 2002 season. Concessions will be available starting at 10 a.m. and Tiger fans can take advantage of a great lunch special that features a hot dog and a drink for $3 from 11 a.m. to noon. Mizzou will then hold its first public scrimmage, which is set to begin at 1 p.m. The scrimmage will be followed immediately by an autograph session featuring Tiger players.
The 2002 season is just over two weeks away as the Tigers prepare to take on rival Illinois at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis on August 31. Mizzou will then return home for its first home action of the season, a September 7th tilt with Ball State, which will feature a fireworks display immediately following the contest, which kicks off at 6 p.m.
