New York, New York-University of Missouri men's basketball coach Quin Snyder will join the Inside the NBA Team for Turner Network Television's (TNT) as they host the 2002 NBA Draft live from Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, June 26. The coverage kicks off at 6 pm CST with a 30-minute pre-draft show, followed by pick-by-pick coverage and analysis of both rounds of the draft.
Snyder will join the Emmy award-winning team of Ernie Johnson, Kenny "The Jet" Smith and Charles Barkley who will also be joined by former NBA head coach and TNT analyst Hubie Brown.
"I have been a big fan of TNT's studio team for years, and I'm excited to have a chance to participate with the guys in what is always a fun night for basketball fans," Snyder said. "I've had an opportunity to compete and coach against many of the young men being drafted, and I anxiously await the next step in their basketball lives.
Considered to be one of the top young coaches in college basketball, Snyder led the Tigers to the Elite Eight in the 2002 NCAA Men's Basketball tournament. He has compiled a record of 62-38 during his three years at Missouri. Prior to his tenure at Mizzou, Snyder served as an associate head coach under Mike Krzyzewski at his alma mater, Duke University from 1997-99. While at Duke, Snyder was credited with helping recruit many of the top student-athletes on the 1998-99 NCAA Men's Championship team, including 1999 NBA top overall draft pick Elton Brand. Snyder will also be able to provide insight on shooting-guard Kareem Rush, who is projected to go in the first round
