COLUMBIA, Mo. - Missouri head coach Tim Jamieson today announced the signing of Lebanon pitcher Nick Admire to a National Letter-of-Intent.

Admire, who will be competing in this week's 2002 Class 4A Baseball Championship for Lebanon, had a 6-2 record with four saves and a 1.12 earned run average entering sectional action. The right-handed Admire, who is 5-10, 185 pounds, has struck out 107 batters in 62.2 innings of work. He is also hitting a team-best .432 and has eight home runs and 25 runs batted in.

"We're pleased to add a quality in-state player like Nick," said Jamieson, who recorded his 250th win at MU this past season. "He throws hard and will be a good addition to our pitching corps."

Admire recorded 115 strikeouts in 62.1 innings of work last season and posted an 8-2 record with a 1.12 ERA. Lebanon has won the 2000, 2001 and 2002 district titles with Admire being a three-time letterwinner. He also was named all-state, all-district and all-conference in 2001.

An all-conference and all-district selection in football for 2001, he also lettered in wrestling.
