COLUMBIA, Mo. - Missouri picked up a 5-2 win Tuesday over Harris-Stowe (Mo.) and set a Big 12 Conference record during the contest. The Tigers' pitching staff struck out a season-high 16 batters, including nine straight to set a Big 12 mark.

After recording the second out in the fourth inning, Missouri's Matt Hobbs and Derek Roper combined to strike out nine straight batters to set a Big 12 Conference record for consecutive strikeouts. In the seventh inning, Missouri used three hits to score four runs. Ehlers had his third hit of the game to drive in one run before he scored on a single by W.T. Hoover. Hoover stole two bases before scoring on Felipe Tetelboin's second hit of the game to give MU a 5-0 lead.
