COLUMBIA, Mo. - Missouri sophomore Cody Ehlers leads the Big 12 Conference with a .438 batting average for all games. Ehlers, a first baseman/pitcher/designated hitter from Stillwater, Okla., also leads the Big 12 with his .822 slugging percentage.
Ehlers ranks among the Big 12 leaders in:
*home runs, second (tie), 7
*on base percentage, second, .528
Besides leading the Tigers in home runs, total bases and slugging percentage, Ehlers has a team-high 15 walks. This past week, Ehlers hit .500 (5-for-10), scoring six runs and walking a team-best eight times.
Missouri is scheduled to play Harris-Stowe (Mo.) Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Taylor Stadium/Simmons Field. The Tigers return to Big 12 Conference play this weekend with a three-game series at No. 26 Texas Tech.
