The University of Missouri football team took to the field of the Dan Devine Pavilion on Saturday for its first practice of spring football.
The Tigers worked out in shorts and helmets on Saturday and will do the same on Sunday. The first full contact practice of the spring will be on Monday.
"We've had a good winter and we're glad to get out here on the field," Missouri Head Coach Gary Pinkel said after Saturday's workout. "I was pleased with the effort that was shown today. The way we look at it is every job is up for grabs. That's the competitive environment that we want. The more competition you have, the better you will become."
The Tigers will be back on the field on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. for their second practice. They will conclude spring ball on April 20 with the annual Black and Gold Game.
