SOUTH BEND, Ind. - It was a good day to hold the 800-meter run for junior Timothy Dunne.

The Jerome, Idaho native won the race in the final day of the Notre Dame Meyo Invitational in a provisional-qualifying time of 1:49.84. Dunne's personal best time in the event is a 1:48.83, and the automatic qualifying time for the 800m is 1:48.30.

In other events, the high jump was a highlight for both the men's and women's teams. Sophomore Christi Myers provisionally qualified with her height of 5-9.75. In the men's high jump, Jay Meystedt, who competed unattached, won at a height of 6-10.75. Sims qualified last week in the event with his personal-best height of 7-1 at the KSU-KU-MU Triangular.

The other winner in Saturday's events for the Tigers was junior Russ Bell, who won the shot put with a provisionally-qualifying distance of 59-1.25.
