Feb. 16, 2002

Final Stats

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- The Missouri women's pole vault record has been increasing a lot lately, thanks to sophomore Lyndsey Tait.

The Jefferson City, Mo., native did it again Saturday afternoon at the Missouri All-Comers meet when she cleared 12-1 for her latest personal best, school record and Hearnes Fieldhouse record. Jennifer Bennett tied her personal best Saturday in the pole vault as well with her mark of 11-6.

Another common occurrance lately is junior Christian Cantwell's ability to hit automatic qualifying marks in the men's shot put. His throw Saturday was no exception, as the Eldon, Mo., native had a mark of 64-4.5 in the event. Junior Russ Bell had a provisional mark with his toss of 61-6.75 in the shot.

The All-Comers meet was the last home meet of the indoor season for the Tigers. The Missouri men and women will travel Feb. 22-23 to Lincoln, Neb., for the Big 12 Indoor Track & Field meet.
