COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Associated Press All-Big 12 Team was announced on Thursday night. The AP All-Big 12 Team was selected by a panel of 20 sports writers who regularly cover the Big 12 Conference for newspapers throughout the league.
Junior wide receiver Justin Gage was tabbed first team All-Big 12 by the Associated Press. Gage has been voted to the first team All-Big 12 Team by four of the five media outlets that have released their postseason honors thus far.
Voted to the second team was senior linebacker Jamonte Robinson. The St. Petersburg, Fla. native ranks third all-time in tackles at Missouri heading into his final game on Saturday at Michigan State. Robinson is second on the team in tackles with 114 and has 384 in his career.
Six Missouri Tigers were named honorable mention All-Big 12 by the Associated Press, including three offensive linemen. Senior tackle Aaron Crittendon, senior guard Mike Hayes and sophomore center A.J. Ricker all received honorable mention honors. Senior kicker Brad Hammerich, junior linebacker Sean Doyle and junior defensive tackle Keith Wright also were tabbed honorable mention All-Big 12.
