The Dallas Morning News Tabs Two Tigers as First Team All-Conference

COLUMBIA, Mo.- Two Missouri Tigers were named to the first team All-Hig 12 Football Team by the Dallas Morning News on Wednesday morning. Junior wide receiver Justin Gage and junior linebacker Sean Doyle were tabbed as first team All-Big 12 performers.

Gage, who was named first team All-Big 12 by the Big 12 coaches last week, has 68 receptions for 883 yards in 2001. Gage needs eight receptions on Saturday against Michigan State to become the single-season record holder at Missouri. He needs 117 receiving yards to become just the second receiver in school history to record 1,000 yards in a single season. Gage has recorded double-digit receptions three times this season, including 13 receptions for an MU record 236 yards against Baylor.

Doyle ranks second in the Big 12 Conference with one game to go with 120 tackles on the season. Of his 120 tackles, 89 of them have been unassisted. Doyle recorded 17 tackles against both Bowling Green and Nebraska. He had 16 tackles against Iowa State. Doyle is ranked among the top 20 tacklers in the country.
