COLUMBIA, Mo. - The University of Missouri women's basketball team was chosen 43rd by Basketball News in the publication's preseason poll. Missouri is one of seven Big 12 Conference teams ranked.

Iowa State is second while Oklahoma is fourth. Texas Tech comes in at 12th and Baylor is ranked 14th. Colorado is 32nd and Texas is ranked 34th.

MU opponents Illinois (Dec. 22) and Southwest Missouri State (Nov. 19) are ranked 40th and 51st, respectively.

Missouri will participate in the Big 12 Media Day on Wednesday before holding its own Media Day on Friday afternoon.
