Columbia, Mo. - KWWC Radio, with the assistance of Premier Marketing Group, has announced the broadcasting of a Missouri women's sports package. Both the MU women's soccer and volleyball teams will receive coverage of four games and tournament play during the 2001 fall season.

The Tiger women's soccer package will include live coverage of the Western Illinois, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Arkansas-Little Rock games from the Audrey J. Walton Soccer Complex. In addition to the regular season, KWWC will also feature the Tigers at the Big 12 soccer tournament and during NCAA play.

Likewise, the Missouri women's volleyball team will also receive live coverage of four home events. The Texas Tech, Colorado, Nebraska and Kansas State games will be aired during the regular season. All NCAA Tournament play by the Tigers will also be picked up.

"As our local affiliate with men's basketball and football, Premier Marketing Group has shown their commitment to Mizzou Athletics by investing in other emerging sports like soccer and volleyball," Associate Athletic Director Mario Moccia said. "The recent success of soccer and volleyball in reaching the NCAA Tournaments have increased the attendance and interest in these sports. In addition the radio allows us to stream the games on the internet (mutigers.com) that brings Mizzou volleyball and soccer statewide, nationwide and global, which will increase the ability to recruit (i.e. Israel and China)."

All Missouri games aired on KWWC 90.5 FM are also available on the World Wide Web by logging onto the Mizzou web page at www.mutigers.com. For more information, please contact the Missouri Athletic Media Relations office at (573) 882-3741.
