2001-2002 Women's Basketball Schedule

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- A year after advancing to the 2001 NCAA Sweet 16, the University of Missouri women's basketball team could face five other foes which also advanced to that level. The Tigers will take on Southwest Missouri State, could play Duke at its tournament, in addition to facing Big 12 Conference foes Iowa State, Oklahoma and Texas Tech in league play. One break for the Tigers is four of those games will be played at the Hearnes Center where they posted an impressive 11-1 record last year. Another pair of Big 12 members, Baylor and Texas, also participated in the 2001 NCAA Tournament.

MU opens the 2002 Big 12 season when it travels to Stillwater, Okla., to meet Oklahoma State on Jan. 6.

Missouri went 22-10 last season.
