Stillwater, Okla. - University of Missouri men's golfer Mark McBride moved up seven spots in the standings after carding his second-straight one-over par 73 at the NCAA Central Regional, which is being held at Karsten Creek Golf Course in Stillwater, Okla.

McBride, a junior from Lebanon, Mo., is tied for 18th place through two rounds of the competition. He stood tied for 25th after an identical 73 in Thursday's opening round. His two-round total of 146 (2-over par) leaves him just six strokes off individual leader Martin Flores of Oklahoma, who leads all competitors with a four-under total of 140.

Ten teams in the 27-team regional, as well as the two lowest individuals not on advancing teams, will move to the NCAA Championships, set for May 22-25 at The Meadows Golf Club in Allendale, Mich.

The regional wraps up with 18 holes of play on Saturday. McBride stands sixth among individuals who are not on the top-10 teams, and needs to make up four strokes on the field to have a shot at advancing to the NCAA Championships.
