MU Tennis Team To Meet Saint Louis

The University of Missouri tennis team plays Saint Louis Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at the MU Outdoor Tennis Complex.

Recent Action: The Tigers lost a pair of Big 12 Conference matches last week. MU fell to 44th-ranked Kansas State (2-5) and 12th-ranked Texas A&M (0-7). Missouri is 12-7 overall and 2-7 in the Big 12.

Records Falling: Missouri's 12 dual wins are a single-season mark. Cassie Drake (Fr., Stillwell, Kan.) has tied the school record for wins in a season. Drake has won 21 matches this season and is an impressive 15-4 during the spring campaign.

Opponents: Saint Louis is 9-8 this season and defeated Northwest Missouri State this past weekend. The match against Missouri is the Billikens' final one of the regular season. SLU opens Conference USA Tournament play April 18.

Head Coach: The Tigers are under the direction of Blake Starkey. Starkey, a 1989 Eastern Kentucky graduate, is in his fourth season at Missouri and has guided Mizzou to two 10-or-more win seasons in the past three years.

Next: Tigers close the season against Texas (April 21) and Southern Methodist (April 22).

Postponed Match: Nothing has been announced regarding the Oklahoma State match that was postponed last week.
