Missouri To Play Southwest Missouri Tuesday

Columbia, Mo. -- For the second time in three weeks, the University of Missouri baseball team (27-20-1, 10-17 Big 12) will play all home games. The Tigers will play four non-conference games this week, starting on Tuesday.

Upcoming Schedule: Here's a look at the Tigers' upcoming schedule:
*Tuesday, 7 p.m. -- Southwest Missouri State (30-15)
*Saturday, 2 & 7 p.m. -- Eastern Kentucky (18-25)
*Sunday, 1 p.m. -- Eastern Kentucky

Player of the Week: The Tigers' Ryan Stegall has been named co-player of the week by the Big 12 Conference. Stegall hit .571 last week with five doubles and three home runs. He also drove in 11 runs and recorded one save.

Probable Starters: Missouri has not made an announcement regarding the starting pitchers for this week's contests.

Southwest Missouri Notes: The Bears, who received 29 votes in this week's Baseball Weekly/ESPN Coaches Poll, enter this week's action with a four-game win streak and a 30-15 record. Southwest Missouri State swept Wichita State this past weekend. Ben Margalski leads the offense with a .367 batting average. Dant'e Brinkley is hitting .366 with a nation's best 10 triples. Brad Ziegler leads the pitching staff with an 8-0 record and a 2.37 earned-run average. Head coach Keith Guttin is in his 19th season as head coach.
