Missouri Brooks Named Big 12 Female Athlete of the Week in track and field

COLUMBIA, Mo. - University of Missouri junior distance runner Ann Marie Brooks was named Big 12 Female Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Brooks ran 16:06.95 in the 5000m at the Stanford Invitational Mar. 31 - Apr.1. She is the first Tiger to automatically qualify for the NCAA Championships. She is a native of St. Joseph, Mo and is a two-time All-American. This is the second Big 12 Athlete of the Week honor of the year for Brooks in track and field.

Brooks and the Tigers return to action, when they host the Missouri Relays Apr. 6-7 at Walton Stadium.
