Women's Basketball

Join Missouri at the Sweet Sixteen

March 19, 2001

As the University of Missouri Women's basketball team continues their season, supporters of the team will have the opportunity to see the team as they participate in their first "Sweet 16" game in two decades.. A bus trip has been organized that will allow Mizzou fans to catch all the action at a very affordable rate. Round trip bus fare will be $50 per person, and will depart the Hearnes Center at 8pm on Friday, March 23rd. The evening departure time will allow our patrons the opportunity to take as little time off from work as possible to attend these games. Assuming a victory by the Tigers on Saturday, the most amount of days someone will have to miss will be Monday and Tuesday, March 26th and 27th. The bus is scheduled to return to Columbia on the day after Mizzou's final game in Pittsburgh, with specific departure times still TBD.

Tickets in Mizzou's courtside seats are $40 per ticket package, and will include BOTH of Saturday's regional semi-finals, as well as the finals on Monday. We cannot break up these sessions without severely hampering our ability to organize a concentrated block of loud and spirited Mizzou fans.

Hotel accommodations are the responsibility of the traveler. However, arrangements have been made with the Holiday Inn-Pittsburgh South, and they are holding rooms in the "University of Missouri" block for $69/room. Travelers are strongly encouraged to make reservations through them, and as soon as possible.

As with other bus trips, a minimum number of travelers will need to commit to this trip in order to confirm this opportunity. We ask that all interested fans contact us by 5pm on Tuesday, March 20th. For more information, or to make a reservation on this wonderful excursion, please call Seth Rosner at (573) 882-0708. Space is limited for the bus trip. Air travel can also be arranged through Canterbury Travel and Tiger Travel Associates.
