Columbia, Mo.-The University of Missouri announces the early signing of Angie Carter, a 5-10 forward from Longview, Texas.
Carter is ranked one of the Top 15 players in the State of Texas. She averaged 20.7 points, 10.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 4.7 steals per game last year as a junior. Carter was named to the all-region and all district team and she also set a single-game career high scoring 41 points.
Carter is a three-time all-district selection and was honored as the district Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore. She averaged 12.1 points, 14 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.1 blocks and 3.8 steals per game during her first year of high school ball.
"A tremendous athlete, Angie can play numerous positions on the floor," MU Head Coach Cindy Stein says. "Her versatility will compliment our style of play. Her personality, talent and work ethic will definitely make her a crowd pleaser."
