Waco, Texas--The University of Missouri women's soccer team falls to 8-9 and 4-5 in the Big 12 Conference after losing 2-1 to Baylor today. The Bears only out shot the Tigers 17-14 and only topped them with three shots on goal (9-6).
Baylor led the game going into halftime with a 1-0 lead. They came back to score within the first four minutes of the second half to advance their lead to 2-0. Freshman Adriene Davis scored Mizzou's only goal in the match in the 52nd minute. She collected a flick from Melissa McLellan and slammed the goal past the Baylor keeper. The goal is Davis's seventh of the season.
Goalkeeper Stephanie Krawczyk is now 2-3. She played the entire 90 minutes of the game allowing two goals and making seven saves.
The Tigers return to action Sun., Oct. 22 at 1:00 p.m., when they host Loyola-Chicago at Audrey J. Walton Soccer Complex.
