Columbia, Mo.-The University of Missouri women's soccer team, with the assistance of Custom Muffler and Kilgore's Medical Pharmacy, announce the implementation of the new Adopt-a-School Program.
Custom Muffler and Kilgore's Medical Pharmacy have each generously purchased one hundred season tickets that will be distributed to a different Columbia area elementary school during the 2000 season. Schools and ticket distribution will be chosen randomly for each of Missouri's eight regular season home games and for the Ellis Copy Tiger Invitational featuring games between Wake Forest, Ohio State, Florida State and Mizzou.
The partnership allows hundreds of children throughout the community access to an exciting NCAA Division I experience.
The Tigers open the 2000 home season against Creighton Fri., Aug. 25 at 4:00 p.m. Missouri also hosts Purdue Sun., Aug. 27 at 1:00 p.m. Following the MU-Purdue game Tiger athletes will host a special poster signing. All events will be held in the Audrey J. Walton Soccer Complex.
