The University of Missouri women's soccer team broke into the Top 25 in SoccerBuzz pre-season rankings grabbing the No. 25 spot. The Tigers also post in at No. 4 in the central region.

The position solidifies pre-season attitudes confirming Missouri returns one of the strongest teams in the nation. The Tigers have also been ranked No. 26 by the American Soccer Writers and No. 27 by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Missouri also holds strong to their No. 4 central region ranking in NSCAA polls.

Mizzou opens the 2000 season with an exhibition game against Evansville on Sat., Aug. 19 at 2:00 p.m. The Tigers open the regular season by hosting Creighton Fri., Aug. 25 at 4:00 p.m. Both games will be played in the Audrey J. Walton Soccer Complex, and is open to the public. Tickets are available by calling 1-800-CAT PAWS or 844-PAWS.
