SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

TEAMS ATTENDING: Illinois State, Iowa State, Kansas State University, University of Kansas, UMKC

ENTRY FEE: $75 per team (men's and women's teams are considered separate). $5 per person, up to $75. Entry fees are due when packets are picked up. Checks may be made payable to University of Missouri Track and Field.

ENTRY DEADLINE: Entries must be received by Tuesday, April 11, 2000 by 5:00 p.m.

ENTRY PROCEDURE: Please fill out the enclosed entry form in alphabetical order. List all possible entries with this year's best performances.

ENTRY LIMITATIONS: Individual Events: None
Relay Events: One team per school in the seeded races.

MEET PACKET & HEAT SHEET PICK-UP: Meet packets may be picked up on the day of the meet (Friday or Saturday) at the building located at the Southeast corner of the track and field complex.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: The schedule may be adjusted to accommodate entries.

SCORING: Non-Scored Meet

AWARDS: Outstanding Female and Male Athlete

CONDUCT OF THE MEET: The NCAA rules will be used exclusively for this meet, except where conduct of the meet necessitates changes. There will be no jury of appeals and the decision of the meet referee is final in all cases where he shall be called upon to rule.

LOCKER ROOM FACILITIES: There are NO locker room facilities at the Track Facility. We have limited locker rooms available in the Hearnes Building. Athletes should plan to arrive dressed to compete. If showers are used, your athletes must provide their own locks and towels.

TEAM BUS/VAN PARKING: Team busses and vans are to park in the parking area south of the baseball field near the Southeast gate to the track facility. (See attached map).

ADMITTANCE TO MEET: Athletes: Race Numbers Coaches, Trainers, Sports Information - Passes

ATHLETE ENTRANCE: For the assistance of our ticket takers, all athletes, coaches and staff are asked to enter the track facility at the Southeast gate. (See attached map).

WEIGH-INS: Athletes will have their implements weighed and measured 30 minutes prior to the start of the hammer competition and ONE HOUR prior to the start of the javelin, discus and shot. Weights and measures will be done in the shed at the South East corner of the track.

NUMBERS: All athletes will wear competition numbers. Numbers will be worn on the front (back for Pole Vaulters & Throwers).

MEDICAL STAFF: The University of Missouri Sports Medicine Staff will be available at the trainer's tent located at the Southeast corner of the track complex. Trainers from guest schools will also have the facility available to them. Emergency medical technicians, ambulance, and doctors will be on call. Audrey J. Walton Track/Soccer Stadium:

  • Eight Forty-Eight inch lanes with a Martin ISS 1000 Embedded surface.
  • Dual direction runways for long jump, triple jump and pole vault.
  • Long Jump is located on the west side of the track.
  • Triple Jump is located on the east side of the track.
  • Full high jump apron with javelin runway.
  • Shot, discus, and hammer circles are brushed concrete.
  • There will be NO LOCKER ROOM facilities available at the track.
  • Fully Automatic Finishlynx Timing.
  • UCS landing pits and in-ground equipment.
  • Maximum spike length is ? inch
  • Starting blocks will be furnished.

WARM-UP: Only athletes involved in competition will be permitted in the main competition area.

EVENT CHECK-IN: Athletes in running events will pick up hip numbers 30 minutes prior to their event at the clerk's tent located at the North West corner of the track. Report to the clerk of the meet 15 minutes prior to your event. Field event athletes are to report to the head official 30 minutes prior to your event.

INFIELD USAGE: The infield is off limits to all athletes and coaches! This is to insure safety!

EQUIPMENT: A maximum spike length of 1/4@ is allowed. Starting blocks will be furnished UCS landing pits and in-ground equipment.

RESULTS: Results will be posted on a results board located at the southwest corner of the track. Result packets will be made available for coaches following the meet. Additionally, complete results will be posted on our website at mutigers.com.
