Box Score

Houston, Texas - The University of Missouri women's golf team won the GTE Mo-Morial Invitational, which wrapped up today at Pine Forest Country Club, in Houston, Texas. The Tigers won by two strokes over Baylor, and by five shots over third-place Northwestern. It is the second straight year that Missouri has won the tournament, as the Tigers claimed the title in 1999 at College Station, Texas.

Individually, junior Amelia Moses led the way for MU with a 4th-place finish, with a 228 total. She finished just four strokes back of Emily Gilley of Northwestern, who won with a three-round 224 total. Moses has now registered top-5 finishes in two straight outings, as she placed 3rd at last week's Midwest Classic in Dallas, Texas.

Just four strokes behind Moses was sophomore teammate Nisha Sadekar, who tied for 8th place with a three-round score of 232. It marked Sadekar's first top-10 finish of the spring, and the second of the 1999-2000 season for the Aurora, Ontario native.

Rounding out the Missouri competitors were junior Jamie Tucker, who tied for 24th with a 237 total, and senior Tobi Probst and freshman Elin Ohlsson, who each tied for 34th with identical scores of 239.

Next up for the Tigers is the Betsy Rawls Intercollegiate, to be held March 17-19 in Austin, Texas. It will mark the third straight tournament that MU will play in the Lone Star State.
