Missouri Volleyball Loses Back-To-Back Matches

After falling to the Texas Longhorns Friday night in three games (9-15, 6-15, 13-15), the Missouri Tigers (9-18, 3-13) lost to the Kansas State Wildcats in three (8-15, 7-15, 6-15). The Tigers are now 1-9 against ranked opponents this season.
Injuries were part of the problem for Missouri as freshman Nicole Panzau suffered a sprained left ankle and sophomore Naaron Branson had some pain in her left hamstring. Panzau suffered the injury in Missouri's match in Austin and did not play against the Wildcats while Branson played through her injury in Saturday night's match.
Junior Annette Luyten led the Tigers through the weekend combining for 18 kills, nine digs and four block assists. Sophomore Krista Johnson was a major force at the net for Missouri, knocking down six total blocks. As a team, the Tigers tallied 10 total team blocks.
Missouri will host one of its final two home matches this week as they take on the Colorado Buffaloes Wednesday at the Hearnes Center.
