Missouri (8-15, 2-10) gave all it could but fell to Texas A&M (18-4, 9-3) in straight sets, 15-6, 15-4, 15-10. The loss ot the Aggies was the Tigers seventh straight loss to a ranked opponent this season.
The third game was by far the best for the Tigers. They were never down by more than four until the end. With the score stuck at 9-11 for nearly 15 minutes, Missouri never lost its composure. Unfortunately, A&M came back to finish off the game and match.
Freshmen Christi Myers and Nicole Panzau played inconsistent, but finished strong for Missouri. Myers recorded her first career double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs. She also had a new career high in digs. Panzau had 12 kills, hitting a .242 clip.
"We saw some neat things tonight," head coach Disa Johnson said. "We executed our game plan well and eliminated a lot of stuff that plagued us before. As long as we play well, that's all I can ask for."
