Missouri-Texas Tech Football Game Will Kick Off At 1 p.m.

Oct. 18, 1999

The Missouri-Texas Tech game on Oct. 30, in Columbia, will kick off at 1 p.m., since the game was not selected for one of the Big 12 Conference?s three television windows.

ABC Sports exercised a six-day advance notification Monday for the telecast schedule for Sat, Oct. 30, while FOX Sports Net has made its choices.

ABC will utilize a six-day pick between Oklahoma State at Texas A&M or Oklahoma at Colorado and announce the choice next week. FOX will televise Texas at Iowa State at 11:30 a.m. (CDT) in syndication over the air and Nebraska at Kansas at 6 p.m. on national cable (FOX Sports Net).

This also means that the game (OSU-A&M or OU-CU) not selected by ABC will not be televised. The ABC telecast for Oct. 30 starts at 2:30 p.m. (CDT).

This is one of two six-day selection notices that ABC or FOX may make during the 1999 season.

Big 12 Conference football telecasts, starting with games of September 25, are subject to the 12-day/six day window network selection process. This means that the conference office will be notified of telecast selections on Monday morning 12 days in advance of the games. News agencies are requested to refrain from announcing certain game times until final notification from the networks in advance to the conference office. All preseason listing for kickoff times are subject to change. Please consult local cable or broadcast entities to obtain additional services or for coverage areas.
