Big 12 Women's Hoops All-Stars Return from Successful European Trip

COLUMBIA, Mo.- TRACY FRANKLIN, a junior on the Missouri women's basketball team, returned to the United States after helping the Big 12 All-Stars record a 5-1 record on a tour of Finland and Sweden. The University of Missouri representative averaged 5.0 points and shot 43 percent (6-for-14) from three-point territory during the six games.

Franklin started three of the six contests for the Big 12 All-Stars and averaged 13.5 minutes per game. She shot 11-for-23 (48 percent) from the floor and recorded seven steals defensively in the six games.

The Big 12 All-Stars, coached by Oklahoma State's DICK HALTERMAN, played their first three games in Espoo, Finland. The Big 12 defeated the Tapiolan Honka TopCats 88-72 and Chevakata, Russia 82-73 before suffering their only loss to the Finnish National Team by a count of 91-87.

The next stop for the Big 12 All-Stars was Helsinki where Franklin led the Big 12 with 13 points and connected for three 3-pointers in a 100-70 win over the Helsinki Panthers. Franklin added eight points in a 97-75 win in Norrkoping, Sweden against the Swedish Club Team. The final stop for the Big 12 All-Stars was Orerro, Sweden where the Big 12 captured an 84-54 win over the Nerike Basketball Club.
