LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Nicole Kubik and Brooke Schwartz scored 16 points apiece Sunday to pace No. 19 Nebraska to a 83-67 win over Missouri in the Big 12 Conference opener for both teams.
Cori McDill added 13 points and six rebounds for the Huskers (12-2, 1-0), Monet Williams came off the bench to score 12 points and Charlie Rogers had 10. Kubik also added 10 assists and six rebounds.
Julie Helm led the Tigers (7-4, 0-1) with 19 points, Amy Moses added 15 and Kesha Bonds had 12.
Nebraska led 42-31 at halftime after hitting 55 percent of its shots in the first half. Missouri (7-4, 0-1) earned 13 of its first-half points from the free-throw line.
The Huskers outrebounded the Tigers in the game, 37-28.
Schwartz, Nebraska's second-leading scorer, and Rogers had been questionable to play after they and several other teammates had been sick with the stomach flu since Wednesday. Assistant coach Steve Curtis was hospitalized because of dehydration brought on by the flu.
