Columbia, Mo. - The University of Missouri announced today that men's basketball recruit TRAVIS ROBINSON has been released from his commitment to the University of Missouri. Robinson had signed a national letter of intent to attend the university during the early signing period last November. MU Head Coach NORM STEWART released the following statement:

"Travis has decided that he needs to be closer to home due to some serious family problems. Travis is a terrific player, but we feel it is important that he be close to his family. We have agreed to this release and wish Travis and his family nothing but the best during these trying circumstances."
