The Missouri Volleyball seniors finished their careers with a bang as they took No. 12 Texas to five games. The Tigers fell 2-3 (16-14, 15-13, 9-15, 12-15, 7-15) but felt they played one of the best matches of the season.
Three of the four seniors posted double-doubles. Jodi Maune led the team with 21 kills and 11 digs. Renee Rosinski recorded 18 kills, hitting a .256 clip and 19 digs. Chandra Hopkins had 11 kills, 16 digs and served up two aces. Annette Luyten also played well for the Tigers with 13 kills, hitting a .226 clip.
The Longhorns were led by Demetria Sance with 21 kills and 20 digs. Erin Aldrich added 17 kills and 11 blocks.
The Tigers finished their season with a 14-19 overall record and 5-15 in Big 12 play. Coach Disa Johnson and the young Tiger team are already looking forward to an exciting 1999 season.
