Tigers Lose to No. 18 Aggies

The Missouri Tiger volleyball team fought hard, but fell 3-1 (11-15, 8-15, 15-8, 6-15) to Texas A&M.

Freshman lefty Naaron Branson led the Tiger attack with 19 kills, hitting a .350 clip. Jodi Maune, Renne Rosinski and Annette Luyten also had a good night, knoocking down 17, 15, and 13 kills respectively. Rosinski and Maune each added a solo block. Chandra Hopkins, Rosinski, and Luyten each served up two aces for the Tigers.

The No. 18 Aggies were led by Stacy Sykora with 25 kills. Amber Woolsey had 19 kills and nine blocks. Lauri Leahy recorded 10 blocks, including three solo blocks.

The Tigers are now 14-18 overall and 5-14 in Big 12 play. They will play their final match of the season Saturday night against No. 12 Texas at 7:30. The four senior Tigers will be recognized before the match.
