Sophomore right-hander Stephanie Falk recieved Big 12 Pitcher of the Week honors for the week of April 26-May 1.

Falk went 3-0 against conference opponents last week and had a 0.00 earned run average. She pitched her 12th and 13th shutouts of the season in Sunday's games against Nebraska (1-0, 1-0). She pitched 21 innings for the week and struck out 15 batters.

Falk now has a 23-9 record for the season. Her 0.99 overall earned run average is third lowest in the Big 12.

This is the second time this season Falk has received Pitcher of the Week honors. The first was March 17. She also recieved the award once last season on Feb. 16.

Missouri head coach Jay Miller was very pleased with Falk's performance. "Stephanie pitched two super games against Nebraska. I think that when she is pitching like that, no one in the country can hit her," Coach Miller said.
